Usingparental controls (for USA region)
Downloading an additionalratingsystem
In the future, an additional rating system may become available for
use in selectively blocking TV programs and movies.
NOTE
Thecurrently tunedstationmustbereceiving a digitalsignalbefore
an additional r atingsystem canbedownloaded.
To download the additional rating system, if available:

Press the MENU button and open the Options menu.

Highlight Parental Control and Locks, and then press the ENTER
button.

Enteryour four-digit PIN code.

Press the • / • (arrow) buttons to highlight Enable Rating
Blocking, and press the ENTER button.

Press the • / • (arrow) buttons to select On, and then press the
ENTER button.

Press the • (arrow) button to highlight Edit Rating Limits, and
then press the ENTER button.
The Edit Rating Limits screen appears.

Highlight AIt RS, andthen press the ENTER button.
The Edit Alternate Ratings screen appears.
NOTE
*:o TheALTRSbuttonwill onlybeavailable ifan additional r ating
system is currently available.
o:o It maytakeseveral minutes fortheTVto download theadditional
ratingsystem.
o:÷ Theinformation displayed in theAlternate Ratings screen will
depend ontheconfiguration o ftheadditional r atingsystem
available atthetimeofdownload.

For each desired selection, press the •/V/4/l_(arrow)
buttons to highlight the selection, and then press the ENTER
button to select it.
A box with an "X" is a rating that will be blocked.

To save the new settings, highlight Done, and then press the
ENTER button.
10 In the Edit Rating Limits screen, highlight Done, and then
press the ENTER button.
