    AV-100 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The AV-100 is a television audio receiver that can be tuned to a television station to receive either its main audio program (L+R) or its SAP channel. The receiver is designed for portable, mobile or rack-mounted usage.

    To utilize the SAP channel from the 600 Ω, balanced rear panel output, simply connect a female XLR to the male XLR connector on the rear of the AV-100. Use the rear panel adjustment control to set the proper level.

    AVOCET AV-100 CONTROLS AND INDICATORS Front Panel: There are three LED indicators on the front panel of the AV-100. Their functions are described below. Figure 3 - Front Panel LED Indicators Power Main SAP Power Indicates that power has been applied to the AV-100.

    AVOCET AV-100 rear panel (see figure 2, page 1). The level range is approximately +10 to -10 dBm. Main-Out Same as SAP-Out, but carries Main channel audio. Adjust These two controls adjust the output level of the rear panel SAP and Main outputs.

    AVOCET AV-100 CALIBRATION PROCEDURE Verify that the power is on by checking that the front panel POWER ON light is lit. Set SAP Channel Demod: Move the shorting block on jumper JU1 from position 1-2 to position 3-4. This will disconnect the audio signal coming out of the tuner module from the signal path, and will let the SAP demod circuit free-run.
